What is PSpice Schematics?
PSpice is a SPICE analog circuit and digital logic simulation program for Microsoft Windows. The name is an acronym for Personal SPICE, and SPICE itself being an acronym for Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis. During its development, PSpice has evolved into an analog mixed signal simulator. The software, which is now developed towards more complex industry requirements, is integrated into the complete systems design flow in OrCAD or Candence Allegro. It includes features such as an analysis of a circuit with automatic optimization, encryption, a model editor, support for parametrized models, auto-convergence, and checkpoint restart, several internal solvers, a magnetic part editor, and support for Tabrizi core model for non-linear cores.
Sep 22, 2019 Furthermore, you can simulate the behavior of a circuit at a given intensity, amplitude or voltage. The big disadvantage of this software version is that the circuit simulations are limited. The circuit is limited to 64 nodes and 10 transistors. So, if you need to build a more complex circuit, you will have to try another version of PSpice. Skip trial 1 month free. Find out why Close. PSPICE is an useful simulation program and analog circuit software which can be run from home or personal computers. The acronym PSPICE stands for Personal Simulation Program with an Integrated.
The program SPICE 2 includes two types – Mainframe version, and personal computer (PC) version. Though the method of computation may differ between the two, but their features are almost identical. The design of any circuit board requires very specific software. There are many things that have to be taken into account, like the fact that circuit boards can vary in kind, from analog to digital, or be a combination of both. OrCAD is an application that has been specifically developed to design circuit boards. And to test the designs that we create with OrCAD, we'll need an application like PSpiceA/D Circuit Simulator.
PSpice is a simulator that analyzes the behavior of a virtual circuit board, using the Smoke method to detect the components that could be at risk due to overstress, and the Monte Carlo method to determine how the components perform, thus preventing any board failure.
Furthermore, it includes advanced simulation technology that will allow all users to save plenty of time and get more reliable results when working with large designs.
If you need a tool to simulate how an analog or mixed-signal circuit board behaves, download PSpice and try it out.
